Kilkenny House – Kilkenny, Scott (Dublin)
Here Comes Johnny, workin in Kilkenny on business for a couple of days arrived in hotel to find no-one around or staying there, expected to see a kid cycling around on a big wheel, got to my room & found that the peace in the hotel was quite soothing & the beds were comfy, just had this feeling someone was going to hack down the door with an axe but to my surprise actually enjoyed my stay, just one quick nodule of advice, breakfast in self service & continential which did’nt bother me you can pay for a fry up at a small extra cost.
Kathleen’s Country House – Killarney Rita & Johnny (UK)
We were booked to stay in Kathleen’s for one night & enjoyed it so much stayed for 2, Kathleen the owner is basically what we came to Ireland for, hospitality personified, Kathleen was a wealth of knowledge nothing was a chore & she had ideas/tips for every aspect of our short trip. Rooms were adequate & breakfast was beautiful with such a wide variety of choices, definitely a place to return to on our next visit to Kerry.
Cassidys Hotel - Dublin, Anne-Marie (Galway)
Up for the U2 gig with 2 friends, stayed in Cassidys for 2 nights for the weekend & found the location absolutely spot on to get to Croke Park, after the gig you are only a short walk to Temple Bar. Not an ubber modern hotel but still has a lot of charm with friendly staff & good food in-house, thankfully I made the booking & we all enjoyed our stay, so brownie points for me.
Leeson Bridge Guesthouse - Dulin, John Paul (Dublin)
It poured snow & I asked myself do I run the rat race so use the head, so checked your site & found a room in the Leeson Bridge Guesthouse , only a short walk from the office and less than the price of a taxi home 29 Euro, I was tucked up & toasty looking at the news reports from around the Country with a smug grin of contentment..Cheers Guys
Citizen M - Amsterdam, P (Ennis)
Citizen M obviously the new zen of hotels ,self check in, bar code bar-breakfast area – funky as a fridge this hotel is the future , only one problem whilst the rooms are very modern, the shower & toilet are all the one room with pull around enclosure(seeing is believing) free 24 movies of all descriptions this place is well worth a visit – very comfortable and modern , I was travelling on my own on business and hotel ticked all of the boxes not sure if it would suit a romantic first break to the city as you may catch more than bargained for, first thing in the morning as you stare into each other eyes whilst using the john..
